Visbids’ Approach
Each estate presents a unique situation, and we tailor our process to meet the specific needs of the client and the property. We begin with a consultation to understand the scope of the estate and your priorities, whether you’re acting as an executor, trustee, or family member assisting with a transition.
Our first step is to help you determine what items have current market value. Using our industry experience and market knowledge, we offer honest advice about what is worth selling, what can be donated, and what should be discarded. This helps avoid unnecessary storage costs and delays.
Once the saleable contents have been identified, we coordinate logistics. In most cases, items are transported to one of our facilities in Brantford or Milton (Moffat). If the property allows and the sale has sufficient scale, we may conduct an online auction from the estate location.
We handle the entire process, including cataloguing, photography, auction listing, buyer communication, pickup coordination, and final settlement. Auctions are marketed through HiBid Ontario and our own network to reach a wide audience of buyers across Ontario and beyond.
Why Families and Professionals Choose Visbids
Our company is built on experience, trust, and a strong reputation within the community. Founders Barry Ezrin and John Vanderkop each bring over 30 years of expertise in antiques, appraisals, and estate management. Visbids provides certified appraisals prepared by members of the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group. We stay current with market trends to ensure accurate valuations across antiques, collectibles, and household contents. Our services are flexible, whether the estate includes a few valuable pieces or a full household liquidation. We bring a steady, honest approach to sensitive transitions and maintain clear communication with lawyers, estate trustees, and other professionals involved in the process.

Visbids serves the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Golden Horseshoe, and much of Southern Ontario. With locations in Brantford and Milton (Moffat), we cover communities from Niagara to Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Hamilton, Oakville, Barrie, and east toward Cobourg.
If the estate is located beyond this region but presents a significant collection, we are open to making arrangements on a case-by-case basis.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is included in your estate sale services?
We provide full-service support, including consultation, certified appraisals, item transport, online auction setup, marketing, pickup coordination, and payment processing. We handle everything from the initial assessment to final settlement.
Do you offer appraisals for probate or tax purposes?
Yes. We provide certified personal property appraisals for probate, CRA inquiries, insurance, divorce proceedings, and donation valuations. Our appraisers are accredited by the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group (CPPAG).
How do your online auctions work?
Your items are photographed, described, and listed on our auction platform (HiBid Ontario). Auctions typically run for one week and are marketed through our channels to reach a broad audience. After the auction, we manage payments and coordinate pickups with buyers.
Can you hold the sale at the estate property?
In some cases, yes. If the property allows it and there is sufficient value and volume, we can prepare and manage the sale from the home itself. This is decided on a case-by-case basis depending on logistics and access.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Brantford and Milton (Moffat) and serve most of Southern Ontario, including the GTA, Golden Horseshoe, Niagara, Kitchener-Waterloo, and surrounding areas. For large or significant estates, we may travel farther.
How soon can you start?
We can often schedule a consultation within a few days. The full process, including cataloguing and auction launch, is typically completed within two to four weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the estate.
How do I know what items are worth selling?
We help with that. During our initial walkthrough or consultation, we assess what has current market value and what is better donated or discarded. Many clients are surprised by what buyers are looking for.
