Estate Management
Trusted support for executors, families, and legal professionals managing estates
Managing the contents of an estate involves more than simply sorting through belongings. It requires clear documentation, expert valuation, and thoughtful coordination. Many clients come to us feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility, whether they’ve been named as an executor, are supporting a loved one through a transition, or are preparing to settle a family estate.
Visbids provides estate management services that bring structure to the process. We help identify what has value, prepare formal appraisals when required, and coordinate the sale or distribution of personal property through online auctions, private sales, or charitable donations. Our team works with families, trustees, legal professionals, and downsizing service providers across Ontario.
Supporting Families Through Complex Situations
No two estates are the same. Some involve high-value collections and formal probate. Others involve modest homes filled with a lifetime of belongings. Our goal is to meet you where you are, with the experience, discretion, and knowledge needed to move forward confidently.
Visbids works closely with clients during every phase of the process. We start with a review of the estate contents to determine what has current market value. Items can be appraised for estate settlement, insurance, tax reporting, or resale planning. From there, we can coordinate the logistics of transport, online auction, or storage if needed.
For families facing downsizing, long-term care transitions, or time-sensitive cleanouts, our role is to streamline the property side of the estate. We do not handle legal paperwork, financial accounts, or real estate transactions, but we work in close coordination with professionals who do.
Visbids’ Approach
Every estate begins with a consultation. We take the time to understand your timeline, goals, and the condition of the contents. We may conduct a site visit or work with photographs and inventory lists, depending on what is available.
Our team documents and photographs the items, determines what requires formal appraisal, and identifies suitable options for sale, donation, or removal. We can relocate items to one of our facilities in Brantford or Milton (Moffat), or conduct the estate sale on-site if appropriate.
Once the saleable items are prepared, we manage the listing process from start to finish. Items are sold through our online auctions or handled privately through our brokerage services. At the end of the sale, you will receive a detailed breakdown of what was sold and a final payment, typically within 15 business days.
