This is a single owner estate sale. The contents were with one exception all photographed and listed on site at the location in rural Milton, Ontario. The exception being the jewellery removed, photographed then stored in a secured facility off-site.
The sale falls into three parts. The property is sold and almost all of the contents are to be sold in our online auction. The mid-19th C home is furnished in period antiques with Victorian sofas, chairs, and antique bedroom suites, plus 19th C original oil paintings and prints as well as mirrors and clocks. The parlour boasts a Loeser baby grand piano, which was very recently tuned. Other furnishings from rugs to household items complete the home’s inventory, which we are selling in our on-line sale. Many of the items were purchased locally. Others were collected on world travels.
The second part of the auction is devoted to jewellery and sterling. Some of the highlights include s a 14 KT gold tennis bracelet with sapphires and pearls, 18 KT gold earrings with turquoise, diamonds and pearls, gold necklaces, cameos and pearl necklaces as well as an interesting collection of costume jewellery. For the sterling collector there are Victorian card cases and vesta.
For the third part we move outside. There are a number of sets of men’s and women’s golf clubs including one set of classic PING square groove irons.
In the barn there are older model lawn mowers, including lawn mowers for cutting greens, weed whackers, Stihl chain saw and leaf blower. Then we have for the auto enthusiast TOYO racing tires mounted on rims for a XJ5 Jaguar, new in box radiator, winch and running boards.
Which brings us to the highlight, a classic fully restored 1961 Ferret MK1 Formula Junior racing car. The ground up restoration started in 2010. The Formula Junior has been raced at Mosport, St. Jovite, and Mt. Tremblant. It was converted from a Canada Class Car in 1961 to a Formula Junior. This is a proudly Canadian restored one-owner, one sponsor car. It has not been raced in over one year but has been kept safe and protected in a dry barn. This is truly a great barn find!
